Children often complain about “growing pains” or little niggles that can sometimes be quite persistent. As parents, we can, at times, be quick to dismiss our children’s consistent complaints of aches as “just growing pans”, however the reason for persistent aches or cramps can sometimes be due to poor posture or underlying biomechanical issues or, occasionally, something more problematic.
We currently have young athletes attending the clinic who play netball, basketball, tennis and football as well as young swimmers (many of whom compete with Nunawading Swim Club), divers, gymnasts, dancers, cheerleaders and runners.
If your child is playing high level sport and spending many hours training, they will benefit from regular soft tissue therapy treatments. Two of our Soft Tissue Therapists, Martene and Danae, as well as our Podiatrist, Molly, have a particular interest in treating children and young athletes and are very passionate about keeping our little people active and pain-free so that they can perform at their peak potential and get the most enjoyment possible out of their sporting activities.
