Myofascial dry needling is the application of fine Filiform needles, otherwise known as 'acupuncture needles, into specific points in the muscle, known as Trigger Points. This process aims to release the trigger points and access twitch responses, which decrease local muscle tone and decrease pain in the muscle. Myofascial dry needling is a highly effective and usually painless technique.
