Meet Our Podiatrist Stuart Rudge
Why did you become a Podiatrist?
I played a lot of sport during my school days and developed heel pain. I saw a podiatrist who was able to help me get on top of the issue and I was able to continue with my sport. This inspired me to pursue a career in health.
What sort of patients do you most enjoy helping?
I enjoy helping all patients to stay active and I enjoy helping patients with a tendon, bone and soft tissues injuries such as Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fascia pain and forefoot injuries.
Interesting things you have done in your career?
Working in Singapore was a great experience. Especially the wide range of lunch options!
I’ve worked in hospital orthopaedic teams that help patients on surgical waitlists to avoid surgery and stay active.
I’ve also worked closely with a range of different specialists in high risk foot clinics helping patients with advanced complications from diabetes.

You can’t just have one pair! The most recent addition is the Asics Glidride.
What do you do to keep fit?
Before children it was playing cricket, now it’s getting out for a few runs each week.
Greatest sporting achievement?
Winning a cricket grand final. Made sweeter by losing our fair share of finals in previous years.
If you could jump on a plane and visit one city, which would it be?
Favourite thing to do outside of work?
Spending time with friends and family

What is your food weakness?
A cheeseboard, homemade sausage rolls and of course chocolate!
