Meet Our Podiatrist Nick Raso
Why did you become a Podiatrist?
I’ve always wanted to do something in healthcare, helping people achieve goals and improve their overall health. As a child I visited a podiatrist after many sporting injuries and this is how I was introduced to the profession.
What sort of patients do you most enjoy helping?
Motivated patients that are eager to improve their symptoms. I enjoy treating musculoskeletal conditions such as heel pain and achilles tendinopathy. Seeing sport related injuries, especially those playing football & basketball.
Interesting things you have done in your career?
Throughout placements at University, I had the opportunity to work in many different public hospitals. I was exposed to the impacts that Diabetes can have on patients. This gave me a great understanding on how to treat and manage chronic conditions that can heavily impact an individual’s life.
Having worked at The Athletes foot enabled me to learn about all types of shoes/runners. This allows me to recommend specific shoes to each patient based on their own individual needs.
