Meet Our Remedial Massage Therapist Jordan Ginniff
Why did you become a Remedial Massage Therapist?
I became a Remedial Therapist because I spent a significant amount of time as a patient throughout my teenage years after enduring multiple severe injuries to the knee, shoulder and ankle on all separate occasions, and thus had encounters with phenomenal practitioners that inspired me to join the ranks.
What sort of patients do you most enjoy helping?
I enjoy working with post surgical patients as there are always interesting variables to consider and work through.
Patients who live with Fibromyalgia and other inflammation based conditions as I feel I am always capable of improving their pain levels.
Knee injuries and particularly in young athletes.
Interesting things you have done in your career?
During the South East Melbourne Phoenix’ inaugural season I worked to manage the bodies of multiple members of the team.
I’ve worked with multiple young state combat athletes as a sports trainer and recovery role pre/post and between events.
What do you do to keep fit?
To keep fit I play Football, Basketball and I also do Jiu Jitsu.
Greatest sporting achievement?
Being selected for an American college Basketball recruitment process, going up against some of the best young basketballers in Australia.
Unfortunately I did not get an opportunity to play American College Basketball.
If you could jump on a plane and visit one city, which would it be?
Favourite thing to do outside of work?
I love reading, playing sports and nerding out with my mates.
Where did you grow up?
Outer Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
What is your food weakness?
Anything that smells irresistible, however I do find it hard to say no to a Tim Tam
